Job summary

The RN-CNI supports the medical center’s Cardiac Med Surg Department, providing specialized cardiac patient care including those with heart failure, post-surgical recovery, and transplant patients. They coordinate interdisciplinary care, communicate care plans effectively, and mentor new staff, ensuring high-quality, culturally sensitive care.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate individualized care for cardiovascular and medical-surgical patients, coordinating with the healthcare team and patients’ families. Provide patient and family education, respond to diverse care needs, and support unit staff through mentoring and professional development.

Qualifications

ACLS behavior assessment BLS collaboration communication critical thinking culturally competent care nursing sciences patient care teamwork

Applicants must graduate from an accredited professional nursing program and hold an Ohio Registered Nurse license. ACLS and BLS are required, though they may be obtained after hire; new graduates are welcome.
