Job summary

A Nurse Assistant on the telemetry unit performs direct and indirect patient care activities under RN instructions, including feeding, specimen collection, safety checks, and patient repositioning, with a focus on quality care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect quality care to patients in a 48-bed telemetry unit following RN and physician instructions. Responsibilities include specimen collection, patient repositioning, and maintaining room readiness for admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma and either a CNA certification or completion of one semester of clinical nursing rotations. BLS certification is required, though one year of relevant experience or EMT certification may be considered in lieu of the CNA/clinical requirement.
