Job summary

Seeking a Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer to lead safety case development, safety assessments, and stakeholder engagement within the defence nuclear sector. Requires experience in safety strategy, technical documentation, and project leadership, with a background in physics, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of nuclear safety cases and strategies for significant UK defence programmes. Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure safety-informed design and deliver technical safety reports.

Qualifications

FMEA Hazard Analysis HAZID HAZOP Project Leadership Safety Assessments Safety Case Safety Reports Safety Strategy Technical Documentation

Requires an Honours Degree in physics, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum 2:1 grade. Candidates should be Chartered (or working towards it) with a proven track record in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
