Job summary

The Paramedic provides emergency care in the Emergency Department, including patient transportation, vital signs, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with emergency procedures, under supervision. Requires EMT-P certification, ACLS, PALS, and preferably one year of experience.

Responsibilities

The Paramedic provides direct clinical support to patients in the Emergency Department, including vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, and specialized wound care. They also assist with patient flow, equipment maintenance, and the initiation of lifesaving measures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Basic Life Support Emergency Care Equipment Maintenance IV Insertion Patient Transportation Pediatric Advanced Life Support Phlebotomy Vital Signs Monitoring Wound Care

Candidates must hold a current State of Indiana EMT-P certification and complete ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire. While no prior experience is required, one year of paramedic experience is preferred.
