Job summary

Join Babcock as a Nuclear Scientist and Engineer Degree Apprentice to develop skills in nuclear science, engineering, and safety-critical project support while working towards a Bachelors (Honours) degree. The role involves supporting the maintenance and refit of nuclear submarines, contributing to engineering design, analysis, and safety regulation compliance, with placements across specialist teams.

Responsibilities

You will support the safe refit and maintenance of the UK's nuclear submarine fleet while gaining experience across the nuclear lifecycle. Responsibilities include engineering design, technical analysis, simulation, and the production of technical reports within a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in Maths and English, plus three A Levels at grade C or above including Maths and one other STEM subject. Applicants must be sole UK nationals capable of achieving and maintaining BPSS, SC, and NNPPI security clearances.
