Job summary

Assist registered nurses in providing holistic patient care in a healthcare setting, including personal hygiene, vital signs, specimen collection, emergency response, and patient support activities.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic patient and family care under the direction of a registered nurse, including assistance with daily living, meals, mobility, toileting, and admissions or transfers. Monitor and document delegated care and patient measurements, report changes or concerns to licensed staff, and maintain a safe, clean, confidential care environment.

Qualifications

Emergency Response Infection Control Medication Management Patient Care Phlebotomy Vital Signs

Requires current California Certified Nursing Assistant certification, Heartsaver AED certification, and completion of Kaweah Health-approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire or transfer. The role also requires maintaining certifications and demonstrating the knowledge and skills to care for the population served, including age- and culturally appropriate care.
