Job summary

The I&C Technician at NRG maintains and troubleshoots instrumentation and control systems for power plant equipment, ensuring safety, compliance with environmental regulations, and proper functioning of generators, turbines, and auxiliary equipment. Responsibilities include calibration, testing, reading P&ID’s, and supervising apprentice technicians. The role requires extensive knowledge of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, as well as physical ability to work in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

The I&C Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary plant equipment. They must also ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while documenting all maintenance activities.

Battery operations Calibration Control systems Digital controllers Electrical systems PLC programming Power plant instrumentation Relays SCADA/HMI Troubleshooting

Candidates must have 5-7 years of power plant I&C experience, including expertise in electronics, repair, and calibration. A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to work in physically demanding environments and respond to emergency callouts.
