Job summary

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the surgical area, ensuring a safe environment for all surgical patients, and potentially leading small teams within the unit.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room while maintaining a safe environment for surgical patients. Collaborate with other professionals, delegate care, and may lead or mentor a small team while supporting nursing practice and learning.

Qualifications

Applicants must graduate from an accredited nursing school and hold valid RN licensure authorized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or a compact state; a valid driver’s license is required where applicable. Operating room experience is required, and a BSN from an accredited nursing school is preferred.
