Responsibilities

The Piping Design Engineer will provide technical expertise to resolve piping, support, and anchorage design challenges during construction at the Hinkley Point C project. Responsibilities include performing mechanical calculations, managing design queries, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

2D and 3D design software ASME standards European standards (EUROCODE) Finite element analysis Mechanical calculations Mechanical Engineering Nuclear Industry Piping and support calculations RCC-M standards stakeholder collaboration

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess at least three years of post-graduate experience in mechanical calculations or the nuclear industry. Proficiency in relevant engineering codes like Eurocode, ASME, or RCC-M and experience with 2D/3D design software are required.
