Job summary

Experienced Electrical Engineers are invited to register their interest for future roles at National Grid, focusing on developing expertise in high-voltage electrical systems through a comprehensive training program aimed at achieving the Senior Authorised Person role responsible for safety-critical work on the UK's electricity transmission network.

Responsibilities

Lead safety-critical work and maintenance on high-voltage substations to ensure the reliability of the UK's electricity transmission network. Coordinate complex capital projects and manage electrical safety as a Senior Authorised Person.

Qualifications

Electrical Engineering Electrical schematics Electrical test equipment Fault-finding High-voltage engineering Installation and maintenance of electrical plant Leadership Method statements Risk assessments Supervision of engineering activities

Requires a minimum NVQ Level 3 or ONC in Electrical Engineering and practical experience with electrical plant and equipment. Must possess a full UK driving licence and be willing to participate in an emergency standby rota.
