Job summary

Assist registered nurses in providing basic patient care activities in a telemetry unit, including feeding, specimen collection, equipment management, and environmental safety to ensure quality healthcare.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant provides direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, including monitoring telemetry patients and assisting with daily living needs. They are also responsible for maintaining unit supplies, transporting patients, and ensuring a safe, clean environment for patient care.

Qualifications

Basic life support (BLS) Emergency response Infection control Patient care Specimen collection

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a valid PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) certification or have completed one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program. Additionally, a BLS certification is required for this role.
