Job summary

Assist physicians in assessing, examining, and treating patients, manage patient flow, perform diagnostic procedures like EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs, ensure patient satisfaction, and maintain medical supplies.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatment, and diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, venipuncture, and injections. Manage patient flow and documentation, support patient satisfaction, maintain HIPAA compliance, and order clinical supplies.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; New Jersey applicants must also graduate from an accredited post-secondary medical assisting program with at least 330 hours of instruction, including training in intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. Candidates need strong communication and organizational skills, medical terminology and office-procedure knowledge, and must obtain Certified Medical Assistant certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants within 180 days.
