Job summary

The Assessment Specialist RN facilitates service responses, conducts patient evaluations, manages documentation, and handles referral and admission processes in a behavioral health setting, requiring RN license and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

Facilitates the initial response, assessment, and referral process to determine the appropriate level of care for behavioral health patients. Manages pre-admission paperwork and coordinates with insurance companies for pre-certification.

Assessment Clinical assessment Customer service De-Escalation Documentation and paperwork Emergency detention Mental health Nursing Patient evaluation Referral process

Requires a current state RN license and either an associate's degree in nursing or a master's degree in social work/counseling. CPR and De-Escalation certifications are required within 30 days of hire, with prior psychiatric facility experience preferred.
