Job summary

The Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer develops protection and control system designs for HV/EHV substations, prepares engineering deliverables, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures compliance with standards, supporting high-profile infrastructure projects within energy utilities.

Responsibilities

You will spearhead the design of protection and control systems for HV/EHV substations while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with international standards. Additionally, you will provide technical assurance, manage project execution, and support the professional development of the wider engineering team.

Qualifications

AutoCAD Electrical engineering IEC 61850 and substation automation systems Microsoft Office Protection and control engineering Protection relay settings and co-ordination Protection relays from Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi, Schneider, SEL Protection schemes for transmission and distribution substations SCADA, RTU, SAS, communication protocols

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and possess extensive experience with protection schemes for transmission and distribution substations. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with major relay manufacturers and international utility standards are essential for this role.
