Job summary

The Piping Designer develops mechanical piping designs for industrial projects, utilizing CAD tools and adhering to standards. Responsibilities include drafting piping layouts, performing site inspections, preparing material estimates, and supporting construction and startup activities. The role requires prior piping design experience, knowledge of piping materials and standards, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation.

Responsibilities

The Piping Designer is responsible for creating complete mechanical and piping designs using theoretical knowledge and practical methods. Key tasks include developing piping drawings from P&IDs, performing field design work, and preparing material take-offs.

Qualifications

AutoCAD Drafting Field Design Instrumentation Layout Material Take-off Mechanical Design Microstation P&ID Drawing Piping Design Piping Specifications

Requires an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting and at least 4 years of relevant industrial experience. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, Microstation, and knowledge of piping materials and supports is essential.
