Profluent is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining a cutting-edge protein data platform, integrating biology, data science, and machine learning. The role involves architecture design, technical decision-making, and collaboration with scientific teams, requiring extensive experience in cloud technologies, Python, data pipelines, and software engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a software engineering team to build lab informatics platforms for sample tracking and assay data capture. Architect scalable systems and data models that integrate lab automation and Benchling to accelerate the protein design cycle.

Qualifications

BigQuery CI/CD cloud-native technologies Django GCP machine learning PostgreSQL Python scalable data pipelines software architecture

Requires 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role and a degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Must be proficient in Python and backend development with a proven track record of building scientific data platforms.
