Job summary

The HSE Client and Programme Manager leads health, safety, and environment initiatives across client projects within infrastructure, engineering, and safety-critical environments, translating client needs into actionable plans, and ensuring compliance through audits, inspections, and governance—supporting continuous improvement, risk management, and psychological safety.

Responsibilities

The role provides HSE leadership and support across priority clients and programmes, managing risks and ensuring compliance from bid stage through to delivery. It involves embedding within project teams to translate client requirements into actionable HSE plans, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Audits Bid and mobilisation planning Client requirements translation Governance and critical controls HSE management Inspections Performance reporting Programme HSE development Risk management UK HSE legislation knowledge

Candidates must hold Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent professional competence with significant experience in safety-critical environments. Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary workstreams are essential.
