Job summary

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s). Develops and implements individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments, education, and collaboration with patients and healthcare team. Performs duties adhering to safety and legal standards and promotes a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

Provides direct medical-surgical nursing care by developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients. Collaborates with inter-professional teams and families to ensure high-quality, culturally sensitive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Requires a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and a valid RN license in the state of work or a Compact State. Must hold a Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
