Responsibilities

The Data Center Facilities Engineer is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and fire safety equipment to ensure 99.999% uptime. They will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergency situations, and manage work requests while overseeing service contractor performance.

Qualifications

Building automation systems Electrical systems Fire/life safety systems HVAC system maintenance Mechanical systems Observation skills Preventive maintenance Problem-solving ability Troubleshooting Work request management

Candidates must hold a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft-Electrical or Mechanical and possess relevant experience in data center critical equipment maintenance. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and building control systems is required, along with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
