Job summary

Seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee plant equipment, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and lead continuous improvement initiatives at a production site.

Responsibilities

Maintain plant equipment and specialised block-making machinery, perform planned preventive maintenance, and diagnose mechanical faults to minimise downtime and meet production targets. Carry out fabrication and welding repairs, support factory operations, promote safety, and contribute to continuous improvement across cost, quality, and operational performance.

Qualifications

Hydraulic Systems Machine Shop Mechanical Maintenance Pneumatic Systems Preventive Maintenance Troubleshooting Welding

Applicants must hold a completed mechanical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, or an equivalent plant maintenance qualification. They should have practical expertise in welding, metal fabrication, machine shop work, and hydraulic and pneumatic fault diagnosis, along with strong communication, problem-solving, safety, teamwork, and basic IT skills.
