Job summary

The role involves leading the architecture and development of core search infrastructure within MongoDB, focusing on scalable, distributed systems for search and vector search, leveraging cloud and SaaS technologies, with an emphasis on operational excellence, system design, and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

You will define the technical roadmap and architecture for MongoDB's Search and Vector Search infrastructure, ensuring scalability and performance. You will also lead complex, multi-team initiatives and serve as a technical partner to leadership to drive the evolution of core database technologies.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in distributed infrastructure or data management systems with deep proficiency in Java. A proven track record of operating at a Staff or Principal level, including designing distributed systems and resolving cross-team ambiguity, is required.
