Job summary

Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects, including compressors, turbines, and pumps, with responsibilities covering specification, application, vendor coordination, and project support.

Responsibilities

Specify and select rotating machinery and related packaged mechanical equipment for onshore and offshore projects, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and auxiliary systems. Evaluate bids, coordinate vendor engineering and drawing reviews, witness acceptance tests, support commissioning and startup, and maintain engineering standards while addressing client and project concerns.

Qualifications

API standards field commissioning fluid/thermal systems machine design project management rotating machinery rotodynamic principles system technical scope technical bid evaluation vendor drawing review

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering field and 20 years of progressive experience in rotating machinery specification and selection. Candidates should have working knowledge of API standards, particularly for centrifugal pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems; experience in relevant energy and process industries is preferred, and professional engineer licensure or willingness to obtain it is expected.
