Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Simulation Realism team to develop scalable data generation and management platforms, build data pipelines for processing multi-modal sensor data, and collaborate on system architecture to support realistic autonomous vehicle simulation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable C++ and Python software systems for a data generation and management platform. Build and optimize data pipelines for processing and curating large-scale multi-modal sensor data to enhance simulation realism.

Qualifications

Requires a BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering with over 7 years of experience in backend or infrastructure software development. Proficiency in C++, Python, and large-scale data processing systems like Spark or Beam is essential.
