Job summary

Assist with activities of daily living for patients in a Medical Surgical Cardiac Telemetry unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN. Responsible for supporting patient care, performing technical duties such as vital signs and bladder scanning, and communicating patient status to the healthcare team. Must have completed a patient care training course, and hold certification in BLS. Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience required.

Responsibilities

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and mobility, under the direction of nursing staff. Performs technical duties such as monitoring vital signs and documenting patient status changes.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCT, CNA, or fundamentals of nursing course, or one year of direct patient care experience. BLS certification is mandatory.
