Job summary

The Senior Engineering Manager leads the Card team's engineering efforts at Remitly, overseeing development of features, APIs, and services for the global card product, while setting engineering culture, managing hiring, and driving strategy aligned with AI adoption and secure, scalable software infrastructure.

Responsibilities

You will lead an engineering team to build and scale the Remitly Global Card, overseeing end-to-end feature development and technical strategy. Additionally, you will drive engineering culture, mentor team members, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals.

Qualifications

AI/ML implementation API design cloud infrastructure (AWS) full-stack development performance management programming languages (Go, Kotlin, Java, TypeScript) scalable software design security software engineering team management

The role requires at least 5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack solutions and API design, alongside 5 years of technical management experience. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and demonstrate expertise in cloud-based infrastructure and modern programming languages.
