Job summary

A Fire Safety Assessor supports fire risk assessments and safety standards at Hinkley Point C, ensuring compliance and safety in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct fire risk assessments across commissioning and operational environments, reviewing facilities, systems, and processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Produce reports with recommended control measures and collaborate with project teams, operational stakeholders, and fire safety specialists to support compliance and the ongoing development of site fire safety standards.

Candidates need demonstrable experience conducting fire risk assessments in industrial or highly regulated environments, practical knowledge of fire safety legislation and standards, and the ability to assess risks and produce detailed reports for stakeholders. A Level 4 Fire Safety qualification is required, or candidates must be able to achieve and hold it within the required timeframe; relevant fire safety training is also required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
