Job summary

Provides patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, safety, and proper documentation, following departmental guidelines and standards. Performs procedures, rounds, vital signs, and other tasks to ensure resident well-being. Maintains supplies, supports team collaboration, and completes continuing education as required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care, including assistance with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, elimination, safety, and repositioning, while following nurse instructions and established guidelines. Record observations and care accurately, respond to resident needs, maintain supplies, communicate with the care team, and complete shift reports and rounds.

Qualifications

An active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state of employment is required; a high school diploma and long-term care experience are preferred. Candidates need strong communication and organizational skills, CPR certification or willingness to obtain it within six months, and the physical ability to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, and transfer residents safely.
