Job summary

The Shop Technician prepares, assembles, tests, maintains, and refurbishes pipeline inspection tools, assisting in ensuring the tools' functionality and safety for projects. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, following procedures, and supporting quality and safety standards within an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, assemble, configure, test, maintain, and refurbish pipeline inspection tools, verifying that they meet defined build requirements and are ready for transport and project use. Follow technical drawings, procedures, checklists, and safety standards; report issues promptly and coordinate information with supervisors and other departments.

Qualifications

Assembly Communication skills Electronics Hydraulic systems Inspection tools Maintenance Mechanical Safety standards Technical drawings Testing

Requires a two-year degree, diploma, or technical vocational training in mechatronics, electronics, or mechanical engineering, plus 1–2 years of relevant experience; in-line inspection or ultrasonic experience is preferred. Candidates should have hands-on experience with mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems, be able to use tools and precision instruments, interpret technical drawings, and communicate proficiently in English.
