Job summary

The Engineering Manager for Home Infrastructure at Roblox leads and develops backend and data systems powering key discovery surfaces used by millions of users. The role involves defining technical roadmaps, managing a high-performing team, and partnering with multiple teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that enhance user engagement through content discovery, personalization, and ranking systems.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Backend and Data Engineers to build and scale the infrastructure powering Roblox's Homepage and Discovery surfaces. Define the technical roadmap for content discovery, personalization, and ranking systems while partnering with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Requires 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead Manager with deep technical expertise in distributed systems and high-throughput backend platforms. Must have a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale consumer-facing production systems and growing engineering talent.
