Job summary

The Mechanical Calculation Engineer supports piping design and engineering assessments at Hinkley Point C, ensuring safety, compliance, and technical accuracy in nuclear power infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

The Mechanical Calculation Engineer will perform stress calculations, piping flexibility assessments, and finite element analysis to support site activities. They will also provide technical responses to site queries and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve engineering challenges.

Qualifications

2D design software 3D design software ASME EUROCODE Mechanical calculations Mechanical Engineering nuclear sector experience PIPESTRESS RCC-M codes RSTAB

Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess experience in mechanical calculations within the nuclear or a comparable engineering sector. Proficiency in relevant design software and knowledge of industry codes such as EUROCODE, ASME, and RCC-M is required.
