Job summary

A Senior Automotive Technician diagnoses drivability and electrical systems, mentors team members, and maintains certifications in a busy auto service center. The role involves repairing vehicles to specifications, explaining technical issues to customers, and staying current with evolving automotive technologies.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including brakes, hydraulics, electrical and ignition systems, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and vehicle computers. Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers, stay current through training, and assist with training and mentoring other technicians.

Qualifications

ASE certifications auto repair brakes and hydraulics communication customer service diagnostics electrical systems leadership mentoring suspension and alignment

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, relevant automotive repair skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people. The posting prefers three years of automotive repair experience or vocational training and an ASE certification; technicians must obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within their first two years.
