Job summary

Atom Computing seeks a Principal Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate infrastructure supporting quantum computing workflows across on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves system design, automation, security, incident response, and collaboration with software and hardware teams, requiring extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code, containerization, hybrid environments, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain classical compute infrastructure to support quantum control systems and research workflows. Collaborate with software, hardware, and control systems teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

Ansible AWS Azure Containerization GCP Hybrid Cloud Environments Infrastructure as Code Kubernetes Pulumi Terraform

Requires a BS or advanced degree in Computer Science and at least 7 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering. Candidates must have expertise in hybrid environments, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
