Job summary

Providing direct patient care activities under RN guidance in a telemetry unit, including feeding, specimen collection, safety rounds, and equipment management, for a 47-bed COVID-19 and observation unit with a 5:1-6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect basic patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse in a telemetry unit. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, assisting with patient mobility, and maintaining unit supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

Equipment Maintenance Feeding Assistance Infection Control Mobility Support Patient Care Patient Monitoring Patient Safety Safety Protocols Specimen Collection Wound Care

Requires a high school diploma and either a CNA certification or completion of one semester of clinical nursing rotations. BLS certification is required, though one year of relevant experience or EMT certification may be considered in lieu of the CNA/clinical requirement.
