Job summary

Performs an age specific plan of care for a designated group of patients using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating and implementing procedures and treatments. Uses leadership skills/clinical judgment in coordinating patient care and directing/delegating activities of the patient care unit team.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse performs age-specific patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of treatment plans. They collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate procedures, administer medications, and provide patient education in an ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred, and at least two years of clinical experience, particularly in critical care, is highly desired.
