Job summary

This role involves providing direct patient care under RN guidance in a Med/Surg Oncology unit, including assisting with feeding, specimen collection, applying heat/cold, ensuring safety, and supporting patient needs.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant provides direct, basic patient care for oncology patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, collecting specimens, maintaining unit supplies, and ensuring patient safety through regular rounding.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a valid PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) certification or have completed one semester of clinical rotations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required for this role.
