Job summary

The Staff Nurse in Medical Oncology is responsible for providing high-quality, cost-effective patient care through clinical judgment, patient relationship management, and participation in quality improvement activities in a specialized oncology unit.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient care within a medical oncology unit, utilizing the nursing process to develop and implement individualized care plans. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, cost-effective care and participate in unit-level quality improvement and shared governance.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Maryland Board of Nursing licensure and BLS certification. Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification is required within 6 months to 1 year of hire depending on experience level.
