Job summary

We are looking for a per diem Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Sussex County, Delaware. The Peer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the recovery process as individuals navigate behavioral health systems and recovery resources, providing support, education, and linkage to services in residential settings.

Responsibilities

The Peer Support Specialist works directly with residents to foster self-care and self-awareness, providing encouragement, supporting recovery, and connecting individuals to necessary services within a non-judgmental environment.

Qualifications

behavioral health communication crisis intervention emergency response empathy recovery support

Candidates should have at least two years of proven experience as a Peer Support Specialist or similar role in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment, possess excellent communication skills, and be highly compassionate. Relevant training or certifications as a Peer Support Specialist are preferred.
