Job summary

Provides nursing care to patients by performing assessments, administering treatments, collaborating with healthcare team, and educating patients. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating care with a focus on patient safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical and psychosocial needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer treatments and medications, and evaluate patient outcomes. Coordinate care with physicians and other team members, provide patient and family education, and guide delegated care activities.

Requires graduation from an accredited nursing school and an associate degree in nursing; a bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Requires 1–2 years of related professional nursing experience, a current New York State and/or Connecticut registered nurse license, and BLS certification, with additional specialty certifications as needed.
