Job summary

Join Babcock as a Process and Plant Engineer Degree Apprentice, working towards a BEng in Professional Engineering while supporting projects that involve nuclear process systems, plant equipment, and safety in a secure environment. The role includes supporting engineering design, technical assurance, calculations, and inspections within a nuclear-regulated setting, with placements across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

You will support engineering design and technical assurance activities within a nuclear-regulated environment while working towards a BEng in Professional Engineering. Daily tasks include producing design documentation, performing engineering calculations, and contributing to projects across the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold GCSEs at grade 4 or above in Maths and English, plus three A levels at grades CCC or above in STEM subjects or equivalent BTEC qualifications. You must also be a sole UK national capable of achieving and maintaining BPSS, SC, and NNPI security clearances.
