Job summary

The role supports and enhances Empyrean’s information security governance, risk, and compliance programs. Responsibilities include leading ISO 27001 implementation, conducting risk assessments, managing audits, ensuring policy compliance, and collaborating across teams to mitigate security risks.

Responsibilities

Lead the ISO 27001 ISMS and coordinate security audits, assessments, control testing, risk evaluations, and remediation across business and technology teams. Maintain security risk and governance documentation, support policy and control improvements, and provide security expertise for client due diligence, technology initiatives, and broader security priorities.

Qualifications

Auditing Control Evaluation HIPAA Information Security ISO 27001 NIST Policy Governance Risk Management Security Governance SOC 2

Requires at least five years of experience in information security risk, governance, compliance, technology audit, security engineering, or a related field, preferably in a technology or regulated environment. Candidates should have strong knowledge of security frameworks and internal controls, experience evaluating cybersecurity, privacy, and engineering controls, and preferably relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor.
