Job summary

The Principal / Associate HVDC Cable Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering HVDC projects by overseeing design, calculations, reports, and drawings for HVDC schemes including cables, converter stations, and equipment specifications. The role requires engaging in technical design, project management, business development, and mentoring within the power engineering sector.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of HVDC projects, including cable system modelling, routing studies, and converter station layouts. The role involves managing technical documentation, overseeing design quality, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

Cable routing Converter station layouts Drawing production Feasibility studies HVDC design IEC standards Project management Report writing system modeling technical specifications

Requires a minimum BEng/BSc in Electrical or Power Engineering, with an MEng/MSc preferred and CEng status desired. Candidates must have proven experience in HVDC schemes and the ability to obtain security clearance.
