Job summary

A Cleaning Operative role with the City of Edinburgh Council involving cleaning various buildings, waste management, emergency cleaning, and security keyholding. The position is part-time, fixed-term until March 2027, with flexible hours and potential for progression.

Responsibilities

Clean surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures, sanitary areas, and toilets; empty waste and recycling bins and replenish washroom supplies. Respond to emergency cleaning needs, maintain equipment, meet cleaning specifications, and perform keyholding duties to help ensure buildings are secure.

Qualifications

No formal qualification or prior experience requirement is stated. The successful candidate must complete the required PVG Scheme check, and an overseas criminal record check is also required if they have lived outside the UK continuously for three months or more during the past five years.
