Rebuild Repair Engineer repairs, maintains, and overhauls Caterpillar construction equipment in a workshop setting, requiring troubleshooting, detailed inspection, and component refurbishment to meet operational standards.

Responsibilities

The engineer will perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Caterpillar construction equipment to ensure optimal performance. They are responsible for managing parts lists, executing overhaul plans, and maintaining a safe, tidy workshop environment.

Qualifications

Computerised Service Information System (SIS) Electrical troubleshooting Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting Engine troubleshooting Hydraulic troubleshooting Mechanical fitting Rigging, slinging and jacking procedures Tooling and specialised equipment Use of service manuals

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a quality service environment or be apprentice trained in plant machinery, HGV, or agriculture. Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fitting is essential, along with a valid reach truck license.
