Job summary

The Peer Recovery Specialist provides case management and support services for clients in recovery from addiction, focusing on building social skills, teaching coping techniques, and facilitating personal recovery goals.

Responsibilities

Provide case management and peer recovery support to assigned clients, helping them set and pursue recovery and wellness goals. Teach and model coping, self-help, problem-solving, and social skills, develop wellness plans, and make appropriate referrals.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with no more than two points, and lived experience in recovery from drug or alcohol addiction are required. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification is preferred; candidates who are not certified must obtain certification within their first year of employment.
