Job summary

Waymo is seeking a summer intern enrolled in an MS program in a technical field such as engineering or computer science. The intern will design metrics, test plans, and develop automation pipelines for testing autonomous vehicles in various scenarios, supporting safety and validation processes using Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

You will design and implement test plans, metrics, and simulated scenarios to validate autonomous vehicle performance in off-nominal situations. Additionally, you will build automated pipelines using Python and SQL to monitor fleet-wide fault rates and support verification and validation efforts.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master's program in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. You should have experience with data analysis and modeling using Python and SQL, along with an enthusiasm for complex systems.
