Job summary

The Principal Security Awareness & Human Risk Engineer leads and evolves global security awareness and education programs, including phishing simulations and behavior change initiatives, to reduce human-related security risks and foster a security-minded culture within GitLab.

Responsibilities

The role involves owning and evolving the global security awareness and education program to reduce human-related security risks. You will lead phishing simulation programs, manage vendor relationships, and define performance indicators to drive a strong security culture.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience building global awareness and human-risk programs in large enterprises. A SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP) certification or equivalent expertise is required, along with strong instructional design and stakeholder management skills.
