Job summary

The Facilities Operative maintains building systems and services, ensuring safety, security, and operational efficiency. They undertake scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks, assist with repairs, and support the Facilities team in a high-footfall venue to uphold safety and service standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks to agreed timescales and standards, helping maintain the venue’s building systems, services, safety, and functionality. Support the Facilities Electrician, Facilities Plumber, Facilities Manager, and Head of Facilities in reducing equipment downtime and completing repairs promptly while following organizational policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants should have broad hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in a large building or high-footfall venue, and general knowledge of building maintenance, painting, woodworking, and lamp replacement. Good literacy and numeracy, IT skills, and the ability to use Office 365 and Jira are also required; Jira training will be provided.
