Job summary

The Strategic Account Director leads teams and manages large, complex PBM client accounts. Responsibilities include revenue growth, client retention, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership in healthcare and finance. Proven leadership, healthcare industry knowledge, strategic planning, and strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams of Account Executives and Strategic Account Executives responsible for complex employer PBM accounts, setting priorities and ensuring strong client relationships and execution. Own portfolio-level growth, retention, and profitability while guiding renewals, expansions, financial strategy, escalations, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Requires 10 or more years of healthcare, account management, or related client-facing experience, prior people leadership, and success managing large, complex employer or health plan accounts through teams. Candidates should demonstrate executive presence, strategic judgment, digital and AI fluency, and have a valid driver’s license and reliable insured personal vehicle; a bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent experience is listed.
