Job summary

The Refrigeration Fitter role at HMNB Clyde involves maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting refrigeration systems on submarines and surface vessels to ensure safety, performance, and operational readiness, supporting national defence.

Responsibilities

The Refrigeration Fitter is responsible for maintaining the safety, performance, and reliability of refrigeration systems on submarines and surface vessels. Daily tasks include performing planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and executing repairs in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Level 3 qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and an F Gas Category 1 certification. Proven experience in marine, industrial, or commercial engineering environments and the ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance are required.
