Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist

Supports providers with ambulatory clinical care by preparing and rooming patients, recording vital signs and histories in the EMR, completing in-office testing, and maintaining exam rooms. Performs administrative duties including registration, insurance verification, scheduling, telephone triage, patient outreach, prior authorizations, and work queue management.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an approved medical assistant or medical secretary program, or equivalent, is preferred. One to three years of medical assistant or medical secretary experience is preferred, along with strong customer service and communication skills; EMR experience is strongly preferred, and Athena and Microsoft Office experience are preferred.
